
One great thing about vim (and I imagine emacs) is the power and configurability of its highlighting. Basically, it highlights backslashes and curly brackets, but not much else, right?

From what I've seen, the syntax highlighting leaves much to be desired. I use vim (on Linux), but several colleagues of mine use TeXShop.
